Here comes the Bride: Bombshell Angel

Today I created a Wedding card using the fabulously flexible Bombshell Angel.

I love to add fabrics and nets to my cards for added interest.  This time around I fashioned a Wedding dress.

To create this card I used

Stamp sets: True love dove from Til Death and Bombshell Angel
Coloured with Copics
Vintage seam binding in Beige Rose
Glossy Accents
Plus a pearl buckle and self adhesive pearls from Wild Orchid Crafts

I hope you like it.
Please feel free to ask any questions :)

April Hump Day Hop: Bettie Page

This month our Hump Day Hottie Alison set this challenge.

I am SO stoked about this month's hop theme. And I think you will be too. This month's hop is HUGE! We have 18 amazing stops for you to take. And I am sure you are going to love every single one of them! Here's what I wrote in the forum.
On April 22, 1923, a star was born. A star that we all know. A star that, without her, Bombshell Stamps may not even exist (if I may be so presumptuous). Who is it? None other than Bettie Page. What better month to pay homage to the Pin-Up Queen herself than the month of her birth? So for this hop, I want you to give Ms. Page some love. Make a project, any type of project, using her as inspiration. There are thousands of images to view, lots of quotes she has said, and others have said about her.
You should have arrived here from Rachael (Etsy Ketsy's) blog.

A Pirate's life for me: Bombshell Card

Since I was a wee girl I have obsessed with Pirates.  This is how I discovered Bombshell Stamps.
A Pirates life was my first ever stamp set, and I still love it.
The Bombshell in it is very versatile.  I love making dresses and things for her.

For this card I went full on Pirate ;)
I saw this old map type paper in the Kaisercraft Vintage timeless collection, and immediately knew what I was going to do with it.
I wanted to keep all the background colours muted, so that the bright Parrot, and Pirate popped.

Recipe
Paper: Kaisercraft Vintage Timeless
Skull and crossbones charms, and stamp from my cupboard.
Ribbon: Papermania Portobello Road collection

Coloured with copics

Hope you like it.

Miss April: Bombshell Challenge: Altered Ego

Aprils Pin Up has laid down this challenge

We all have an altered ego and you know who yours is. So here is your challenge.......Alter something. You can change its purpose or take the plain and make it beautiful. Bring out your altered ego. No major rules but one very important one..........Have FUN!!!

I decided to try something a little different for me, and create a plaque.

I see myself as young and pretty, a bit of a dreamer with a dark side.  Kind of a naughty Alice.
This is my interpretation of me, lol.

I used Bombshell Angel with a custom dress.
Various Wonderland papers by Graphic 45
The words stamped around the frame are from my sentiments box.  Not sure what make sorry.
Mad Hatters Watch is covered with Crackle glaze.
Alice sentiment again from my collection
Coloured with copics

I hope you like it.

This is the sketch

First Tomic challenge entry

Hello,
Today I decided to be brave and enter the TOMIC Challenge for the first time.  I love Magnolia stamps but lack talent, lol.

This weeks challenge over at TOMIC is

TOMIC #26 ~ Vintage and Lace

The vintage style is very popular, and it is simply to make your card or project look old. You can often find distressed & inked edges, laces, roses, note papers etc. on a vintage project. So let's do it vintage ...

This is my entry.
I was making a custom card for a jewellery customer in France and as luck would have it, it fitted the challenge.

I used
Magnolia
Brotherly Love
Mistletoe stamp
Mistletoe die
Heart swirl branch die

Coloured with Copics

Flowers
Wild Orchid Crafts

Papers
Snowman collection
Magnolia sweet  Flurry blue

Distressed edges inked with Walnut stain

Lace, pearls, card stock from my own collection

Nesties & Sizzix dies

Computer generated sentiment

Hope you like it
