Penny Black Saturday Challenge week #164

This week the challenge over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge is
Touchy Feely!

That's right, we'd like to see lots of texture on your cards, it could be embossing, textured glitters, felt etc, the only RULE being that you use at least ONE PENNY BLACK IMAGE, SENTIMENT or STICKEROO,
I just got a new stamp, so thought this was the perfect opportunity to test her out.

I used
PB Stamp: Primp
Coloured with Copics
Paper Material Girl
Top paper pearlised card with rose embossing
Glossy accents on mirror and bottle
Viva decor glitter pen around sentiment, bow, and curler pins
Sentiment by Lili of the valley

Hope you like it

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #91 A recipe

Well it's no secret how much I love Kraftin' Kimmie stamps, especially the Annie Rodrigue designs.

I finally managed to get hold of  Drucilla this week.  She has been high on my list for ages, and always seemed to be out of stock here in the UK.  But *woot* I have her now.

I of course decided to use her in this weeks challenge over at Kraftin' Kimmies blog is

This week our hostess is Tracy and she has a recipe for us! On your creations please include: 1 flower, 1 ribbon, 1 piece of chipboard! Think you can handle it!? What a fun challenge!
I added the sentiment, from my hand to your heart as she is about to stick a pin into the heart of her Voodoo doll, lol.
Paper is My minds eye
Image coloured with copics
Ribbon and flower were from my craft drawer
Chip board Dragonfly is from Make it Crafty

Hope you like her :)

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #90 Distressed

This week over at kraftin' kimmies blogspot the challenge is
To DISTRESS your creations! So ink it up, rough it up, rip it up.....just make sure it's good and distressed!!
Well I just love distressing so LOVED this challenge.  I have had a yearning to do a darker version of Cinderella for a while.  So I dug out my favourite papers Immortal love by DCWV.

I coloured her with Copics, and paper pieced the skirt, then added glitter.   I also added a Bat across the moon and glittered that up too ;)  The Bat was from the Batty Princess stamp set

I added the sentiment Kick up your Heels, and have a Happy Birthday.

I did my distressing with scissors, sandpaper, a paper distressing tool, and good old ripping.

I'm gutted at the pictures, the colours were really rich, but my day lamp washed it out.

Hope you like it

Penny Black Saturday Challenge week 162

Hi,
Welcome to my little blog.
This week the challenge over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge is

PENNY BLACK/GROUND
and if you are wondering what on earth I am on about....let me explain.
we would like you to use your Penny Black stamps to create a background...
so time to get your thinking caps on and get creative....
Well I don't have many PB stamps that I thought would fit the bill so I had to put my thinking cap on.

I decided to spritz a sheet of card with Tattered Angels crushed seashell mist, and stamp the first part of the
"Another 365 days trip around the sun" stamp as a watermark type effect.  It didn't go quite as well as I hoped, but it looked passable.  I think I would use a different shade of ink if I tried it again.

Stamp used is Two's company.  My current favourite :)
Paper is Basic Grey hopscotch
Sentiments are by Whimsy stamps
Ribbon is Oloroso from "The Ribbon Girl"

Hope you like it :)

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #89: No embellishments

Hi,
Thanks for dropping by.
This week the challenge over at Kraftin' Kimmies blog is
She wants you to create a project with NO embellishments!! That means no flowers, no brads, no ribbon, twine, buttons etc. You can use punches and you can sew on your designs, but that's about it. Try to keep it simple!
I decided to give it a shot.  I think I stayed within the guidelines.
I was feeling in a fairy mood so used Rosabelle,
then masked Make it Crafty Daffodill Dell over the top.
I coloured both with copics.

Paper including sentiment was Prima Madeline which is one of my favourites.
Lovely rich reds, olive greens etc  Spicy :)

I cut into the paper around a floral detail, and slotted my image inside.  I thought it was a shame to cover it, tee hee!

Butterflies were made with a Martha Stewart punch

Hope you like it.
