Penny Black Saturday Challenge: Stitch it up

This week over at Penny Black saturday challenge
the challenge is
STITCH IT UPyes we want to see you get creative with a bit of stitching....get out your sewing machines...do a bit of hand stitching or faux stitching or if sewing isn't your thing....use a sewing related image or embellishment...whatever takes your fancy and as always it's up to you what you create...the onlyRULE being that you use at least ONE PENNY BLACK IMAGE...LARGE SENTIMENT or STICKEROO

I can't sew to save my life so I went for faux stitching.

I used Uplifted which is one of my favourite PB stamps of all time.  He is such a cutie.  I say he as I coloured him as a ginger Tom ;)

I coloured him with copics
Sentiment is a Whimsy stamp

Hope you like it, it is very basic, as my mojo appears to be on holiday ;)

Bombshell June Blog Hop: Shiver me Timbers

Hi,
You should be arriving here from EtsyKetsy's blog.
If you are lost there is a list a bit further down ;)

This months Bombshell blog hop brief is
Aaaarrrggg!!!! In honor of the latest Pirates of the Carribean flick, and the start of Summer (cruises and such...work with me here, folks) I decided what better theme than pirates! More like the phrase "Shiver me timbers!" Now, I am thinking pirates...but what do YOU think of when you hear that phrase?
Well I have been nuts about Pirates since I was knee high to Long John Silvers leg.  I loved doing this challenge.
I made one card specially, and am showing another of my Pirate cards too.

Other than using Bombshell stamps I have no clue where I got the papers from.  I am a Magpie for Piratey wonders and pick them up all aver the place.

This weeks challenge over at Kraftin Kimmie's Challenge 82 is called 24 Krafty Karats and she'd like us to use GOLD somewhere on our creations! It can be just a touch or a whole lotta gold!

I just got Batty Princess which is great fun to colour.

I added gold in the form of a mister of Perfect pearls heirloom gold.  I also highlighted some areas with gold marker.  I hope that is enough to qualify.

This is for a friend of mine to show her I care.  She loves Bats :)

Tiddly Inks Going Goth challenge

This week over at Tiddly inks challenges the challenge is
Our first challenge is "Going Goth!" Create a fun "dark" card. :)
As a person with Gothic leanings I really enjoyed this.  I did have trouble colouring the dark hair, I usually go blonde with this character.  It took me into a new territory which is why I love the challenges.

Paper is Tim Holtz sprayed with my own mister of Dusty concord and heirloom gold.
Black lace from e-Bay
Paper lace from Martha Stewart Punch

Stamp is Alice by  Stamping Bella I made the cup Absinthe, lol
Sentiment and skull are from Man's ruin by Bombshell Stamps
Image coloured with copics

Hope you like her

Have a great weekend

Penny Black Saturday Challenge: Doodlebug

Hola,
Hope you have been enjoying the Tennis from Queen's.
I love the lawn Tennis season.

I digress.  This weeks challenge over at Penny Black's Saturday challenge is Doodlebug.
We'd like to see you get doodling! This can either be as simple as a faux stitched border or as elaborate as and sketched background for your image and everything in between! It's up to you,
EEk was my reaction.  I can't draw to save my life.
So I reached for one of my fave images, and after 5, yes 5 attempts I have one to share.

I doodled (badly) a present, and some streamers.

I added glossy accents and  glitter to the balloon, but it isn't dry yet.  So the fallout will be brushed away when dry.

Hope you like it

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge # 81 - Cut it Out

This weeks challenge over at Kraftin' Kimmies is paper piecing.
I had never heard of this so I had to check out the dt cards and do a bit of googling.

Then it was time to get out my collection of KK stamps and decide which damsel to dress.
I decided to go for Princess Petunia who is so fabulously girly.
I used papermania paper in a subtle rose print.  I also used the same paper in the background, and as lace.
I think for a first attempt it turned out ok.

Image was coloured with copics

Hope you agree.
If you are a big fan of Annie Rodrigue you may like to know she has a Facebook group now.

Tiddly Inks Diva Challenge

Hi,
Thanks for popping by to see my card.

This was my first attempt at an Easel card.

I am very new to card making so my design, and colouring are far from perfect.
I will keep practising.

This is my entry to Tiddly inks challenge: Diva
The brief is Diva's with attitude.

I immediately thought of Alice.
I love this image of her so much I have the rubber stamp (with a cup) en route :)

I added a Mad Hatter too, plus some playing cards cut from Graphic 45 Halloween in Wonderland papers.
The curiosity text and background paper are Tim Holtz
Images were coloured with copics, and the distressed with Vintage Photo di.

I chose the sentiment "Well behaved women rarely make history"
it seemed to fit the Alice character, as well as bring some diva drama :)

I added a huge 10/6 label to the bottom of the card along with another playing card, and a bow.

Hope you like it

Kenny K Fab Florals challenge

Hola,
 The theme for this weeks Challenge over at kenny k krafty girlz challenges is;
FABULOUS FLORALS

I love using the Kenny K images and decided to use Devilish Donna for this one.
She is such a cutie.  You can buy her as a digi stamp here

I treated myself to the rubber stamp version of this little lady.
I thought she would be brilliant to use along with my Lil' angel cherub stamp by Bombshell stamps

I coloured Donna with copics, and distressed a sizzix top note die cut around her.
Paper was Prima sweet fairy, grunged up with distress inks.
I also clear embossed the cherub with utee.
Flowers are prima, I added pearl centers

I hope you like my attempt
